Pala-U Waterfall is located 60km west of Hua Hin town. This waterfall is on the southern tip of Kaeng Krachan National Park. Its location is close to the Myanmar border. You will pass through checkpoints and stunning countryside on your journey to the waterfall. Occasionally you will see wild elephants coming out from the jungle and block the road.

The waterfall has 16 steps with its 3rd step having a large pool where most visitors enjoy and stop here. The atmosphere is refreshing. You will be inside a thousand years old forest.

Detail: The waterfall can be visited all year but the peak season is in rainy season during June to October. Beware of slippery stones. The path to the 3rd step is well taken care of though.

How to get there: Usually a trip to Pala-U Waterfall can be arranged by a tour operator in Hua Hin. You can expect a one-day trip that includes transportations, national park fee, lunch and drinks. It takes 1.5 hours from Hua Hin town to Pala-U Waterfall.
